Heron Advisory<\/strong>, in partnership with Atlas RE<\/strong>, finalized in August 2025 the sale to the Republic of San Marino of a 9.257 MWp solar PV project<\/strong> located in Lombardy, through the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Atlas Solar 12 S.r.l.<\/strong>by the Azienda Autonoma di Stato per i Servizi Pubblici<\/em> (AASS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plant, fully authorized and ready for construction, represents San Marino\u2019s first utility-scale solar investment in Italy<\/strong> and marks a highly significant milestone in the country\u2019s long-term energy strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Secretary of State for Industry, Handicraft and Trade, Fabio Righi Bevitori<\/strong>, emphasized the strategic value of the initiative, describing it as \u201ca forward-looking investment\u201d<\/em>. Bevitori noted that \u201cthere are moments when a government is called upon to make decisions that shape the future of an entire country. The acquisition of Atlas Solar 12 S.r.l. is one of those moments<\/strong>: it allows us to overcome the geographical limits of our territory, increase the production of energy from renewable sources, minimize risks and maximize effectiveness. This project, which will initially cover 7\u20138% of our national demand, lays the foundations for a path of ecological transition and innovation that we intend to pursue with determination, while creating new and qualified job opportunities for our citizens.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Similarly, the Secretary of State for Finance, Marco Gatti<\/strong>, highlighted how the initiative represents a concrete example of industrial vision and institutional responsibility: \u201cIt demonstrates our ability to carry out long-term financial planning and prudent management of public resources. Investing in a strategic asset such as this solar plant in Italy is a fundamental element for the stability of our national budget and for the country\u2019s energy security, while ensuring a sustainable economic return that will benefit the entire community.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Heron and Atlas RE, the transaction confirms the high quality of the projects jointly developed, based on sustainability, territorial compatibility and full compliance with the Italian regulatory framework.
The sale of the Visano plant further strengthens the positioning of both companies as independent players in the development of utility-scale photovoltaic and agrivoltaic projects, supported by a growing pipeline of BESS systems and integrated initiatives aimed at enhancing grid flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heron thus continues its path alongside institutional and industrial partners, contributing\u2014through solid and bankable projects\u2014to the national energy transition and to the energy security of the regions involved.<\/p>\n\n\n
